On another subject, my daughter's joining the Science Fair, last year she placed third. This year we're thinking of doing a plant experiment. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
We've heard it before - the secret to a lasting marriage is learning to compromise, being respectful and understanding of our spouse's feelings, etc., etc. But there is one factor that should always be present in a marriage if we want it to remain strong - HUMOR.
Last weekend hubby and I were having a bit of a tiff, it wasn't anything especially important, it's just one of those days when we seemed to get into each other's nerves easily. After a heated argument in the privacy of our bedroom, hubby left in a huff which, of course, made me more peeved.
Just when I thought our weekend was ruined, he returned home less than an hour later and without a word placed two pieces of paper on the table. I, of course out of curiousity, picked it up and read it:

I'm talking about a virtual airplane, how far will it go? After several tries the farthest my airplane flew was 42.6M.
There's a cool online game called Paper Pilot that lets you create a virtual plane and test out how far it will travel. After that you can try competing with other players.
You can try it here, feel free to post your results.
My daughter has been begging us to adopt a puppy for some time. Problem is the contract on our lease states "no pets allowed". So unless there is some way we can sneak in a puppy in our apartment without alerting the owver, our daughter's request is on hold
Nevertheless just to cheer her up, I adopted a virtual pet...and you can too! Aaah, can you tell I have a lot of time on my hands today?
Let's throw logic to the air for a while and enjoy a bit of fantasy...If a genie asked you what three wishes you wanted, what would it be? No world peace please, not that we don't all want that but I want you to think of something you personally want, for you and yourself alone.
So, what would it be? And how did this question make you feel? Was it difficult to think of three things you wanted?
A friend passed this on as an email attachment and I thought i'd share it. Children are really intelligent and quite funny. Here are several letters kids wrote to God, these are my favorites:
