Areas of Giftedness

When a child is gifted it doesn't necessarily mean that he/she excels in all areas or in every subject. As an example my daughter's reading and math skill is quite advance but her penmanship needs a lot of work.
There are different areas in which a child may be gifted in and it includes the following:
1. Academic - Academically gifted children excel in some subjects and perform average on other subjects.
2. Artistic - Shows proficiency in playing an instrument, singing, dancing, drawing, painting and other areas of performing and visual arts.
3. Creative - Creatively gifted children are very imaginative, does not conform, asks a lot of questions, good at improvising, etc.
4. Intellectual - Excels in many, if not all, subjects, learns easily, has advance vocabulary, voracious readers, can adapt in either a group or individualized setting, etc.
5. Leadership - Excellent organizational skills, good communicator, people person, etc.
According to the psychologist who tested my daughter, Angela is academically, artistically and creatively gifted. Although she excels in some subjects, she performs at an average level in other subjects. She is very good at drawing, painting and music improvisation. She is also highly imaginative, very curious and asks deep questions.
