Books for Preschoolers
August 22nd 2007 01:09
My husband and I both love to read and we've passed on this passion to our child. There is no denying that learning to read is important, moreover finding the appropriate books to read is equally important. If you have preschoolers at home reading to them regularly is a great way to introduce them to books. Start them off with books like the following:
ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY
BROWN BEAR, BROWN BEAR, WHAT DO YOU SEE?
CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM
GOODNIGHT MOON
IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE
MAKE WAY FOR DUCKLINGS
THE SNOWY DAY
THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR
HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON
OFF TO SCHOOL, BABY DUCK!
Make daily reading a part of your child's daily routine and you'll be giving them a tremendous gift filled with imagination and learning.

Mum's Word
I recently had to buy a second copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar; the first one fell apart.
The others that we well loved are Are You My Mother? and Ten Apples Up On Top.
Love & stuff
