Day 1 of Detox
October 24th 2006 01:28
This is harder than i thought.
Well, we've managed to get through day one of our mild detox. We had tuna, brown rice and green tea for breakfast, then salmon brown rice and green tea for lunch. I snacked on sunflower seeds and aloe vera juice to keep hunger at bay. For dinner we had a salad composed of romaine, carrots, apples and sunflower seeds.
What i find most difficult is that I have to prepare two seperate meals - one for us and one for our daughter. Much as I like to include my daughter in the detox, it is not advisable for young children. So I have to add certain foods to her meals to give her the nutrients she needs, foods which me and hubby aren't allowed to eat this week. Talk about temptation!
But so far, so good. What suprised me is that the sunflower seeds are tasty and filling, plus the aloe vera juice tastes good too.
I found some interesting facts about bid=57" target="_blank">sunflower seeds and aloe vera juice.
We are eating mostly organic foods by the way. Any suggestions on other healthy snacks?
