Disney's Hollywood Studios

Disney's Hollywood Studios, formerly called Disney-MGM Studios, was the next theme park we visited. The inspiration behind this park are the numerous movies, television shows and musicals that have shaped today's entertainment industry. Going to Disney's Hollywood Studios is like stepping into a quaint little town filled with colorful characters.
RIDES/ATTRACTIONS WE EXPERIENCED:
The Great Movie Ride
Relive the magic of some of the best-loved classic films, from Casablanca to the Wizard of Oz, in this ride that will amaze little ones and amuse movie buffs. I really liked this ride and wished it would've gone longer.
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
Ever wondered how they perform and shoot those daring stunts you see on action films? This show will take you behind the scenes as they re-create memorable scenes in the movie Indiana Jones. The whole family will find this entertaining, especially dads. There's also audience participation which makes it extra fun.
Muppets Vision 3-D
See Kermit, Miss Piggy and other well-loved Muppets characters in this 3D movie that will tickle your funny bones. I actually loved all the 3D shows at Walt Disney World, each one seemed so real and made you feel like you're actually there with the characters.
Toy Story Mania
Hands-down my favorite ride at Hollywood Studios. You get to test your aiming skills against an opponent in this action-packed 4D game-ride inspired by Disney-Pixar's Toy Story movie. I rode it with my husband and of course, he beat me - quite miserably I may add.
Star Tours
Another of my favorites. This one is based on Star Wars and is milder than Mission: Space but still very enjoyable. (Ah yes, I'm a frustrated astronaut)
Journey Into Narnia - Prince Caspian
This behind-the-scenes look at the movie Journey into Narnia: Prince Caspian is the least of my favorites. Don't get me wrong, I love the Narnia movies but this one is ineffectual compared to other attractions. I was expecting something more...
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Watch a concise stage version of one of Disney's unforgettable animated films - The Little Mermaid. Loved this one! The stage productions at Walt Disney World are very good and I enjoyed watching them all.
The Magic of Disney Animation
Another one of my least favorites. Here, a cartoonist shares how some Disney characters were conceptualized and brought to life. I don't know if they change characters for every show, but when we watched it Mushu, the small dragon from Mulan, was featured. Mushu is adorable, but maybe the show will be more entertaining if they actually brought out the character on stage - just my humble opinion.
High School Musical 2: School's Out!
We were able to catch a glimpse of this song-dance extravaganza but had to cut our visit short to get lunch and take a break from the heat.
Fantasmic!
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperating with us that day and we had to miss several rides and attractions because of the rain. However, watching Fantasmic! made up for it 'cause this show...how can I put it more eloquently...this show ROCKS! (LOL)
