Lot's of cool stuff on the web.
My daughter informed me yesterday that she scored 100% on her spelling test, which of course pleased me. But honestly though, I haven't paid much attention to teaching her how to spell and her pleasant announcement reminded me of that.
While surfing the net I found a very good spelling course available online. It's called The Basic Cozy and they are offering 30 lessons for free. This is for higher grades or for those who want to refresh their spelling skills. You can access the free lessons here.
For those who are looking for printables, School Specialty Publishing is offering free downloads of their materials from maps to timelines, and what's best is it's aligend to state standards. You can view the printables here.
My final find of the day is a website which will pique any child's interest in learning about the universe. The name of the website is A Virtual Journey Into The Universe, and it's just that, a closer look at what makes our universe. Start your journey here.
