Gripe-Fest

When you think about it, cliches like "a place for everything and everything in its place" and "a cluttered house equals a cluttered mind" does make sense. I don't consider myself a neat freak but I do try to maintain a semblance of order in my household. However, there are some people in my family who think differently, and yes, I'm referring to my husband.
I don't think all guys are messy but unfortunately for me, my husband is. He's the type of guy who is very willing to lend a hand, but only if you ask him to. He leaves the toilet seat up, doesn't get the logic behind making the bed, leaves dirty dishes on the sink, etc. And wait 'til you see the inside of his car - yikes! It drives me nuts sometimes!
Just this evening I asked him to take the trash out, some of the contents spilled out from the garbage bag onto the kitchen floor and instead of picking it up, he left it there. He saw it, he knows it and yet he still ignores it until I pointed it out to him. For the most part I try to be patient with his messiness but sometimes, especially when I'm tired, it does get on my nerves. Plus, it's really not a good example for our daughter.
So I decided to conduct an experiment (insert evil laughter here
), for a week, I'm going to refrain from cleaning up after him and try my best to ignore all the mess. Hopefully, he'll realize just how messy he is and decide to change his ways.
