Well, my daughter's feeling better but now I'm the one who's coming down with the flu. I rarely get sick but when I do it's really bad. I just hope I'll be ok before Christmas day. So I'm sure you'll forgive me when I post this short yet intriguing question.....
Have you ever tried Googling yourself? By this I mean have you ever searched for your full name on Google? What about your blog or website url? What have you discovered?
I ask because i recently searched for my full name and it came out on a porn site. Why in the world would they even use my name as a keyword? Bad webmasters, bad!

Yes that sound shocking, I have googled myself and have been surprised at how much is there under katyzzz.
There' a recipe somewhere for a soup that is supposed to sweat it out, you'll need plums, when you're better look it up, cook up a quantity and freeze it for when you get sick this way.
In the meantime, hot lemon and honey, and chicken soup, just toss things in the pot and let it cook itself, as long as it's hot and fluidy it will help and if you can, take panadol and bed or rest as much as possible when it peaks.
I know you'll be better for Christmas.

And while the real me pops up in second and third place, etc., the number one Google site is a deceased stripper with the same name.
Wow. All my hard work in writing, my teaching, my career and bingo-bango-boom, there it is. Dead. Stripper. Quite existential really.

Yes I have few times and I was surprised to see my CV website up there...imagine the possibilities, someone needs a writer, they google and find me and read my CV and declare me the most suitable and gifted writer to perfect their paid writing role....woooo hooooo!!

some really interesting results... my name attracted a few hundred thousand hits in Hungarian as it is now a band, an opera and lots of other things..
My orble name is number one and it seems I also have a rather busy e-bay page too and am quite a good trader...*lol*
Otherwise someone with my married name lived out her entire life : (1878-1973) was married in Pembroke, Ontario in 1916, and lived out their. entire married life together in the city of Sudbury. ...I may go there one day...

Oops. Sorry. I compltely misread the title. I thought it meant, 'Have you ever done anything to yourself that made your own eyes pop?' Oh well, there goes another brilliant Homer comment in the trashbin (the one people scrounge through just to read the word Homer).
As to the sort of Googling you are referring to. I've done it in real life under my real name. I love seeing how much stuff is out there about me. And how no-one knows who I am on Orble. I get a perverse pleasure out of myself. I am just so good. Who would have thought that God Himself would choose the name Homer for Himself when he came to earth disguised as the most magnificent specimen of maleness and pure masculinity this world has ever seen? Not seen? Who would have thought God would have joined Orble? And not told everyone about it? Up until now? I had to. It's not fair to keep dumb people guessing, when they're so dumb they'd never guess rightly anyway. I've seen a lot of pretenders on Orble. I'm the real deal. I'm outing myself. Coming out of my divine closet. I am. I am Homer. No-one ever has to use the word God again. Just Homer. I am brilliant. I am so good. Homer (sigh).

I have aspirations of being famous, after all!!
It's fun...what comes up is actually everything that's here, on Orble...which is kind of cool...
(Then I freak out...oh my God, is Orble going to follow me around forever? When I become a famous writer, will all this stuff I said years ago come out about me? Me, flirting online? Me and Homer, bitch-slapping it out? My love affair with two women, DD and A.H.? The number of times us Orbles Angels actually do swear and make references to appendages??)
Oh, yeah. It is so all coming back to haunt me one day.

My nom de clavier(?) is not exclusive to Orble.
My Orble site comes up but needs to be in that exact order otherwise gets lost amongst the scrum of rugby sites.
My real name...well I come up as a singer, actress, newspaper, astro-physicist (yay!) and as me...it's okay, my occupation is G rated!..maybe PG...
My business site...comes up first, which is great!!

oh, I 'google' myself all the time. My full name is unique (I might be the only one in the world) so all the entries that came up were about me including articles I've written, scholarships I've received and the high school I attended has just put up class lists.
Under pegasus, as you can imagine, a million things came up that had nothing to do with me or orble...something about a winged horse of old mythology?? lol
I even tried 'pegasus hot' to try & point poor google in the right direction but it came up with things like 'pegasus hot air balloons' & 'pegasus Hot Lap'

Well, if I use unquoted search I too encounter many sex sites and it isn't very nice.
If I used quoted search then there is only 1 result, which is my own profile from Yahoo!. LOL....
I did try to google my own health2know.com and I also found that there is one of the really nice orble members wrote something in another blog about my site. Such kind words! I haven't found out who is this angel yet though. ^_^
