1. Don't be too brand conscious.
2. It's better to underbuy than overbuy.
3. As much as possible, consume or use everything you've bought before buying the same thing again.
4. Don't toss away stuff that you no longer use, give it away instead.
5. Only keep two credit cards; one for small "everyday" purchases and one for big purchases.
6. When shampoos or dishwashing liquids are almost empty, add water.
7. Eat lunch at home or bring lunch to work.
8. Rent games instead of buying it.
9. Don't be embarrassed to haggle.
10. And of course, if you can't afford it, don't buy it.
