Gifted Parenting - Parenting a Gifted Child

Chronicling my journey as the mother of a gifted child.

Mother Nature Continues Her Fury

October 1st 2009 19:29
After the destructive typhoon Ondoy in the Philippines, an earthquake measuring 8.3 on the Richter scale struck Samoa and American Samoa on Wednesday morning. The strong earthquake triggered a tsunami with tidal waves reaching almost 4.5 m. Later that day, a 7.6-magnitude earthquake hit Indonesia; a second earthquake measuring 6.8 was felt there early Thursday morning.

This is truly devastating...

Here's a video update from CBS.

Admittedly, despite what has been perceived as peculiarities, Michael Jackson was undoubtedly an innovative and influential artist. Read more of this article here.

April 28th 2009 16:46
Is your child starting to assert his/her independence? I just read a very interesting article on The Juggle, one of The Wall Street Journals' blogs, about how Bill Gates was as a boy. Turns out one of the richest man in the world was a handful when he was young. Young Bill Gates, according to his parents, questioned authority, was fiercely independent and was very strong-willed. So how did his parents address his behavior? Read the article here.
