Gifted Parenting - Parenting a Gifted Child

Chronicling my journey as the mother of a gifted child.

PTA's

This evening my husband and I went to a Parent-Teachers Meeting, the teachers discussed the different ways we can help our kids develop study habits at home. They also presented how the Direct Instruction method is implemented to teach Reading, Math and Language.

Going to Parent-Teacher meetings and being a part of the PTA is very important if you want your child to be successful in school. In meetings such as these both teachers and parents can collaborate on how to better support students and discuss pertinent issues.

To know more about the PTA and to join PTA's in your area, visit the
National PTA website.
